Lauren Alaina, a native of Georgia's Rossville and raised there, quickly rose to the top of American Idol season ten's competitors list. Her fame was due to both her unique looks and devotion towards God. Lauren was raised and born in Rossville Georgia. When her cousin was diagnosed with a brain tumor, Lauren decided to give the singing world a go. Scotty McCreery, the winner of American Idol became her friend during Lauren's stay. They shared their Christianity with a sense of likability and country roots. Lauren did not mind that Scotty had prevailed and she was content losing to her buddy.
